We discussed Proverbs 18:21, which says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” They were taught about how their words are either poison or medicine and which words fall into each category.

Today your campers are introduced to Gladys' ministry partner when she first arrives in China, Mrs. Lawson. These two faithful women will create The Inn of Eight Happinesses and use their new business venture to preach the gospel to muleteers traveling through. But what happens to Gladys when Mrs. Lawson suffers an accident that eventually takes her life? Ask your campers to fill you in!

Camp Compass kids have been challenged to raise money this week so that we can send Bibles to Pakistan. We have a goal of $7,000 which would be about 1,400 bibles to send to Pakistan. This is a new ministry partner and due to the persecution that occurs in this country we are not going to give specifics of the Pastor’s name or location.

Get creative kids! Some of our kids in the past have found chores around the house, sold their toys or put together a lemonade/bakery stand. Money needs to be in by Friday so we can send it to the Pastor in Pakistan. See below for the video that the students were able to see on Monday.
