The gospel
There is only one message that can bring real hope in a world full of tragedy and brokenness. That message is the gospel (or “good news”) of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead - defeating sin and death. He lived the righteous life we could not live. He took the punishment we deserve. He rose again to ensure that we could have eternal life.
In response to this message, the Bible calls us to repent (or turn) from our sins and to believe in Jesus Christ. That means we transfer our trust from ourselves to Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
